I talked about bleach solution for keeping sponges clean in this article. Well, I heard about a trick using the microwave that seems to work well. Just put a damp sponge in the microwave for 2.5 minutes. Of course, time will vary, and do be careful, and read this site's terms of use, but it just might work for you.
