The How and Why Wonder book of Electricity by J. Notkin & S. Gulkin. 1960 was one of the first books I ever owned:
The book has many projects that are still valid today. It also has very understandable tutorials on how electricity works, as well as historical facts and warnings about the dangers involved. Every time I touch a lightswitch when my feet are wet I think about this book. I would do well to continue to heed the warnings in this book, and certainly, when Bobo is old enough, we will go over the warnings and have fun with the projects.
